When the first guys met up in the suburbs of Southern California in the early 1950s with their souped-up flathead engines, the earth shook and the air smelled of a mixture of burnt rubber and gasoline. Immediately after World War II, some of the soldiers of that era used the mechanical skills they had acquired in military service to convert old Ford Model A wrecks - available at the time for a handful of dollars at any junkyard - into wild hot rods with a lot of imagination and talent. Pay tribute to the daredevils with this shirt inspired by the car clubs of the early 1950s.
